DISTRIBUTED GENERATION
Microcell's distributed generation product line, the MGEN, is currently in the field demonstration phase. These 1-5 kW fuel cell units incorporate an unprecedented heat exchange design for removal of the heat from the cells for hot water and space heating applications. This efficient removal of the heat leads to stable operation of the cells while increasing the durability, overall cell efficiency and service life of the cell components. Microcell fuel cells aimed at distributed generation applications offer many features including:
