DATA CENTERS

Data centers are one of the largest and fastest growing markets for back up power. In addition to larger, conventional back up power systems such as gas fired and diesel generators, many smaller and critical equipment require fast responding, reliable power. Microcell’s MGN series provides back up power for extended power outages with duration significantly longer than batteries.

In addition, many data centers are manned facilities which require hot water or space heating for their personnel during an extended outage. Microcell’s MGN series deliver hot water in addition to back up power for the duration of the outage even when operating on a fuel provided by commercial hydrogen cylinders. The Combined Heat and Power feature of the MGN series increases the efficiency of the fuel cell system and delivers hot water for areas or facilities that do not have or operate on natural gas fuel.

The MGN series combines the benefits of fast-response back up power delivered by low temperature fuel cells (and batteries) with heat utilization capability of a high temperature fuel cell.
